706T
Track bowling brings you the new 706T
We had one main objective when developing the next 700 series ball. We wanted a ball that offered the traction that our consumers have come to expect from the “T” series while retaining more energy for the back end of the lane.
CORE
Before we selected the coverstock, we knew the Helmet core would provide the extra recovery at the back end of the lane that we wanted. We had a lot of success with the Helmet core in our 706A and we wanted to keep it rolling with the 706T.
COVER
Using the Helmet core allowed us to try some pretty aggressive coverstocks. We found our Gen XT (Xtra Traction) cover, which is our second most aggressive Traction-based cover, matched up best with the proven Helmet core.
FINISH
The final step that completes the ball development process is the finish. Having the right finish allows for the perfect combination of core and cover to shine for a wider variety of bowling styles. For the 706T, we went with 800/1000/2000/2000 Abralon®. This finish process gave us moderate length on medium to oily lane conditions while maintaining the extra energy we were looking for at the back end.
OVERALL
The 706T is ideal for medium to heavy oil lane conditions. The lower intermediate differential allows it to store more energy through the front part of the lane compared to its predecessor, therefore having a stronger impact with the pins resulting in higher scores.
