Manufacturer’s Intent: The concept behind the design and creation of our latest 900 series release was one that was quickly agreed upon. Our goal was to create a ball that simply out hooked and performed every ball ever made in the history of Track. This was no small task but one that R & D quickly accepted and accomplished.

Core: The Legion 2 Turbo core is back. This core creates easy revs while storing plenty of energy for the back end of the lane and most importantly the pins. Whether wrapped with a shiny or dull cover, the Legion 2 Turbo core provides the perfect entry angle through the pins.

Cover: The 912T features our brand new Gen ET (Extreme Traction) cover. The “Traction” this cover creates is out of this world. We accomplished this by taking our Gen XT (Xtra Traction) cover used on the popular 716T and slowly increased the “Traction” additives until we created the best cover to match up with heavy oil patterns.

Finish: In order to create the strong overall hook that was desired when creating the 912T, we decided to go with our newest finishing process. This process uses 1500 Abranet Soft as the last finishing step. Abranet Soft is a new type of sanding material that was developed to minimize clogging while sanding. The foam layer and open structure of Abranet Soft provides more flexibility and allows the material to follow surface contours more effectively.

Overall: Fear heavy oil no more. The Track 912T has arrived. The combination of our Legion 2 Turbo core and the brand new Gen ET (Extreme Traction) cover will give the competition “Hook Envy”. The 912T provides the most overall traction ever seen from Track.

Manufacturer’s Intent: With the release of the 300A, we wanted to design a ball that would complement the 300C & 300T in our lower-mid performance category. In order to accomplish this, we needed to use the perfect combination of core and cover. During our product development stage, we found that combining our Track Symmetric Core and Gen MA cover provided us with the right look on the lanes.

Core: The Track Symmetric Core allows the 300A to push through the front part of the lane with ease storing power for the back end of the lane. This is accomplished in part by the medium-high Rg and low differential of this core.

Cover: Our Gen MA (Moderate Angle) cover is a perfect match for medium to dry lane conditions. This is one of the lowest friction covers that we offer. This is perfect for when there is too much friction for many of today’s high-performance bowling balls.

Finish: The 300A comes with our standard polished factory finish. We accomplish this by starting with 800 Abranet and then working our way up with 1000, 2000 and then 4000 Abralon before we apply our Powerhouse Factory Finish Polish. Those looking for a little less length can achieve it by sanding with a 2000 Abralon pad and then re-polishing.

Overall: The 300A is sure to be the first ball out the bag when the front part of the lane burns up and the back ends get tight. This new release will push through the front when other balls won’t, maintaining the angular reaction at the back end of the lane that is expected from our “A” series.

Manufacturer’s Intent: With the release of the 503T, we wanted to design a ball that would complement the 503C in our mid-performance category. In order to accomplish this, we needed to use just the right combination of core and cover. During our product development stage, we found that staying with our Packman core and combining it with our new Gen MT (Moderate Traction) cover provided us with just the right look on the lanes.

Core: The Packman core offers moderate revs due to the medium Rg values combined with a large overall flare potential. This core provides a wide array of ball reactions depending upon the layout and surface preparation.

Cover: The new Gen MT (Moderate Traction) cover is a modified version of our Gen XT (Xtra Traction) cover found on the 716T. By reducing the amount of Traction additives, we created a cover that will match up the best with medium to oily lane conditions.

Finish: The finish process is the final factor that determines our overall ball motion. For the 503T, we started with 800 Abranet then followed it up with 1000 and 2000 Abralon. This finish will provide enough traction for oily lanes while allowing the 503T, to still be useful on medium oil patterns as well.

Overall: Sometimes a nice strong consistent ration is just what the lanes call for. The brand new 503T combines the perfect combination of core/cover to create just the right amount “Traction” on medium to oily lane conditions. She may not be flashy, but she always gets the job done.

Manufacturer’s Intent: The concept for creating the 706A was simple. We wanted a core/cover combination that would provide the aggressive move at the breakpoint the “A” series is known for, with improved continuation through the pins. Our R&D team accomplished by creating both a brand new core and cover.

Core: The 706A is the first Track ball to feature the brand new Helmet core. This new core design revs up extremely well from the mid-lane to the breakpoint, unleashing the right amount of energy when it encounters friction. The lower intermediate differential compared to previous 700 series ball aids in accomplishing the improved continuation through the pins.

Cover: The cover is what touches the lane, so it is important to use the right cover when targeting the perfect ball motion. The best core design in the world doesn’t do any good unless you have the right cover to take advantage of the core’s strengths. For the 706A, our R&D team developed our new Gen XA (Xtra Angle) cover.

Finish: The finish process is the final factor that determines our overall ball motion. For the 706A, we started with 800 Abranet then followed it up with 1000 and 2000 Abralon. Once the sanding is done, we apply our Powerhouse Factory Finish Polish which is the exact same polish we use on our finish line.

Overall: The 706A is sure to be the choice for Track fans when they are looking for a ball that offers easy length with “Pop” at the breakpoint. The combination of our Helmet core and Gen XA cover will match up best with medium oil patterns. When “Xtra” entry angle is a must, mow’ em down with the Track 706A.

Rocket Science and Bowling Ball Science - To Us There’s No Difference.

At Track all of our improvements start at one place - Research and Development. Our R&D rock star, Ron Hickland is used to use raising the bar high. And going over it. Ron’s new ideas for core shapes are totally revolutionary - and successful. And when we have a successful core shape like the Modified Robot we used in the 716C, we stick with it for awhile.

“We love the core shape in the 716C, because of its high differential,” Hickland said. “And we knew exactly which cover we wanted to marry it with to get a great Track-tion reaction.”

Cover That Ball With Something That Makes A Difference.
A great core like the Robot needs a great cover. R&D’s research showed them that the best option was to start fresh with a completely new cover - the GEN XT.

“The 716T’s new GEN XT, which stands for Xtra Traction, is an HP coverstock that is one of the strongest midlane continuous coverstocks we make,” added Hickland. “Because of the high differential of the Robot Core, this coverstock/core combination makes this ball one of the biggest hooking balls on the market.”

A Surface That Enhances Everything Else Inside.

For the perfect finish, we took three different grits of Abralon® pads, 500, 1,000 and 2,000, the same finish used on the 715T. The Abralon gives grit to the surface to increase aggression on the lane.

“The great thing about the new GEN XT cover is that it takes surface adjustments easily,” stated Rich Hanson, Track Brand Manager. “For those needing more or less traction in the front part of the lane, being able to easily adjust the cover makes the 716T the right ball.”

AT TRACK, we’re always looking for the most innovative, technological ways to improve a bowling ball. We take improvement pretty seriously. Even naming balls is serious business to us.

Track is excited and proud to introduce to you the all new 508A. This ball has a World Wide Release Date of February 2, 2012.

The 508A
Manufacturer’s Intent: Track’s intent with the all new 508A is to bring you a new and improved version of the original 505A.

What makes the 508A an improved version of the 505A? First we started with the ever popular Legion Core that we used in the best-selling Track ball in recent years, the 607A. Next we worked on creating a cover that would be just as angular as the cover used on the 505A. After testing several different covers, we said to ourselves, “if it isn’t broke, don’t fix it.” By combining the MP GEN 4 Reactive Pearl veneer and the Legion Core, we have provided Track fans with a ball motion that is stronger than the 505A while maintaining the same overall look on the lanes.

The 508A, with the help of the new MP GEN 4 reactive Pearl Coverstock, is designed to be stronger off the spot that its predecessor. The 508A also brings a different surface than the 505A as now we use three different grits of Abralon® pads, 800 Abranet®, 1000, and 2000 Abralon®, followed by Powerhouse™ Factory Finish Polish.

The intermediate and overall differential are higher in the new 508A which provide more flare potential and a stronger overall core than the 505A. The combination of the MP GEN 4 Reactive Pearl veneer and the modified Legion Core, should provide you with a quicker responsive and overall more agrressive product than the previous 500 series balls.

The Manufacturer’s Intent for the all new 811A SE is to be a stronger version of the 607A SE. We started with an all new core the “Legion 2 Turbo”. This core started out as a symmetric core shape and then was modified into an asymmetric core to get the specific RG, Differential and mass bias numbers we were looking for. This perfectly tuned core is the heart and soul of the all new 811A SE. With the Mass Bias being 0.011, it is set up to give the most angular backend reaction for the widest style of bowlers.

As for the all new “SE8 GEN1” coverstock, this is truly a remarkable breakthrough in coverstock design. We have developed an all new performance pearl additive “Crystalline Mica”. This additive is 15% more responsive of the dry than what was used in the 607A SE. You can clearly see in the SEM’s the difference between the SE6 coverstock and the new SE8. With the new core and coverstock, we were able to create the most balanced High Performance ball for the widest range of bowlers’ styles.

ON FEBRUARY 2, 2010, TRACK INTRODUCED THE 715C TO THE WORLD.

Since then they have been working on a new-and improved version, designed to be used in a larger volume of oil but still offering bowlers the controlled arcing motion they expect. The new 716C is a more versatile product for the masses. “As a result of the feedback we received - likes and dislikes - from pro shops, consumers and online users, we made modifications to the 716C that will allow the ball to be more competitive in heavier oil conditions,” explained Track Brand Manager Paul Figliomeni. “As a result, the Manufacturer’s Intent for the all new 716C is to be an improved version of 2010’s 715C.”

Modifications to the Robot core resulted in the higher differential core used in the 716C. In addition, an upgrade to the veneer resulted in the all “NEW” UMP Gen5C Solid coverstock. “We have also used a brand new surfacing process, our three-stage factory sanding system,” said Figliomeni. “This all-new process for Track removes one sanding stage and therefore uses only three: 500,1000 and 2000, giving a more aggressive footprint on the lane. Also, remember, if you need a more aggressive reaction, our covers are easy to adjust.” 716C will be available on October 20, 2011, in 12–16 pounds.

The all-new 503C is designed to be an improved version of the original 505C. What you can expect from the new 5 Series C ball is more length and an even more controllable ball motion at the breakpoint. From tournament bowlers to the average league player, this ball will undoubtedly be the first ball out of the bag. This beautiful Purple/Blue/White Pearl ball in its out of the box 4000 sanded and polished state is designed for medium to dry lanes. In a larger volume of oil, just adjust the surface to a 2000 grit scuffed surface and you will gain an additional 5 boards of hook for the average player - some may see even more.

The new Blade Asymmetric core shape boasts an awesome amount of midlane power, specially designed for midlane continuous ball motion. Our chemists have come up with yet another new and stronger coverstock formulation, one that has a rather unique side effect…a unique HAZE to it. Our team can only describe it as a HAZE that will change its appearance in differing environmental conditions. This HAZE has no bearing on performance, but the look is phenomenal! Track has designed the new 300T to be our second entry in the lower mid performance arena. The 300T is constructed with the Track symmetric core, a proven core shape in the industry for several years. We then wrapped it with a brand new coverstock blend, the LMP GEN1T Solid. This cover is designed to be very aggressive through the front part of the lane, and have a true “T” track-tion shape in the mid lane. If you liked the 505T, this is its little brother. When your 505T starts to hook too soon, go to the 300T and keep on striking. This is a very unique color combination for Track and we know it will stand out on the lanes.

The 505T is constructed with the proven shuttle core, its final appearance in the Track line. The shuttle core was then wrapped with a brand new coverstock blend, the MP GEN 4 – creating the strongest coverstock Track has ever used in a mid priced ball.

Track’s 920T packs plenty of hook for the competitive league bowler. As the lanes transition and become drier, the 920T will still give you the ‘track-tion’ you need to keep striking. We accomplished this goal by combining two strong elements from previous Track products: the popular modified Leggo core, and combining our HP Gen 2 coverstock used in the UpRising with our HP Gen 3 used in the 930T, minus the mica. Our R&D Dept. worked closely with our Manufacturing Team to develop an entirely new pouring system process in order to make this combination - our first truly hybrid Inter-Mix Technology (IMT) cover.

The 715C was designed to be a stronger version of the popular 505C. The designers set out to make a more aggressive product without compromising on the continuous/control factor at the breakpoint. We are
introducing an all “NEW” coverstock for this ball, the “UMP GEN 4C” with pearl essence, which boasts a greater surface texture. The pearl essence has no performance benefit; it is purely to enhance the look of the product. The “Catback” core is still a 0.015 intermediate differential, which gives this ball unbelievable striking power. The Black/Red/Gold combination will have great shelf appeal, at 2000 grit Abralon® sanded and beautifully polished with Powerhouse Factory Finish. The 920A was designed to be more Angular on medium/heavy oil patterns. Built on the LEGGO core platform, the designers modified it by raising the RG to 2.57 and tweaking the horsepower of the core (Intermediate Differential) to .020, thus gaining extra length while still having plenty of hitting power. The coverstock chosen for this ball is the HP Gen 3 with Performance Pearl. The Pearl helps to make it more Angular on the backend. The surface is 4000 grit Abralon® sanded. Someone turned up the Heat another notch! Introducing the Blue Heat, the strongest of the mid-priced Heat series. Designed for heavier oil and synthetic lanes, the Blue Heat uses a 1200-grit sanded, light-load version of the potent WOW 2 particle coverstock to provide traction. Inside is the multi-piece, high flare Heat 2 core, which combines a high-density egg with a dense flip block to provide more mid-lane reaction and a stronger hook potential in heavier oil.

Raise the temperature on your competition when you use the Dry Heat. The Track team has been researching the market to identify the needs of our customers. The most frequent request was for a ball that was specifically designed for drier lane conditions.. Initially we thought this could be an easy project to complete, but we soon realized that simply making a ball that hooks less is not enough. Our customers demand the control of the lane that our high performance balls provide. The oil used in bowling centers today are slicker than ever. For this reason we could not make your average high Rg low differential ball. In fact, we needed a lower Rg system to create the control necessary to tackle the newer lane oils. To create this reaction we removed the inner ball from the Heat core and cut the differential to .026. This design, wrapped in the Power Plus Solid coverstock will give the bowler extra length with a controllable arcing backend motion. Now you have the tools to compete on any condition that you encounter. Do the math:

Kinetic relates to the motion of material bodies and the forces and energy associated with it. Kinetic features a newly-designed, low mass bias core called Shuttle and a new coverstock called UMP GEN 1. The best way to describe Kinetic’s motion is simply skid/flip. Using a low mass bias designed core shape, we have created a ball that is great for medium to heavy oil conditions and works well when you need to get the ball to flip on the backend.

We have wrapped an all new UMP GEN 2 coverstock around the ball to complement the reaction to the original.
