TRACK LEADS TEXAS TEAM TO STATE RECORD

AMF Garland Lanes was recently host to a record setting performance by a mixed team known as “The Bowling Shop.“
Rene Benavides led the way with a 788 series using an Ebonite Mission followed closely by team member Linda Chambers’ 766 effort, which included a 300 game, with her Track 505C. Track staff player Andrew Lowy (754 with a Track 408C) and fellow teammate Mathie Banaag (744 with a Columbia 300 Arch Rival) rounded out an amazing 3052 team series, which broke the Texas State record and was a mere 32 pins shy of the USBC national record.
“I had just returned from the Third Annual Track Staff Training Camp, and I was able to use some of the information I learned there to change my surface and create the best reaction for me,” Lowy said. “The entire team did some sort of surface adjustment to their equipment before we began league that evening.”
Looks like the Track Camp paid off for “The Bowling Shop”!
“When the night was over the manager on duty went and looked up our scores,” Lowy said. “He noticed that we just rolled the highest 4-person mixed team series for at least the last five years. The next morning I received a phone call saying that we had also set a state record!”
“Track bowling could not be happier to hear about the recent high scores these bowlers have had with our equipment,” said Track Brand Manager Paul Figliomeni. “We strive to provide a high quality of product and it is always great to hear from people that are finding success with our bowling balls. To hear it from a staff player attended our camp is icing on the cake.”
