Loren Trenhaile of Lehigh Acres, Fla., recently had one of those nights all bowlers dream about.
Competing in the Cool Air League at Friendship Lanes in Cape Coral, and using his new Track 715C bowling ball, Loren fired games of 300, 279 and 300, for an astounding 879 series.
“It was pretty surreal,” said Trenhaile, who blew right past his previous personal high series of 856. “I’ve always wondered if I’d ever shoot anything like that again. I’d bowled a bunch of really good scores when I was younger but I never knew if it would happen again for me.”
His recent high score was not only Trenhaile’s personal best, but also a Southwest Florida association record, surpassing the previous record of 876.
“This was only his second series with his new Track 715C and it followed a 760 bowled just two days earlier,” says Chuck Rucker of The Bowlers Choice Pro Shop III.
The 715C was designed to be a stronger version of the popular 505C yet keeps the previous “Catback” core found in the 715A which gives this ball unbelievable striking power. Trenhaile’s score is the evidence that this ball can strike.
“Track Bowling would like to congratulate Loren on his amazing performance,” said Paul Figliomeni, Track Brand Manager. “We hope to hear more wonderful scores from him in the near future. It’s a great ball, and it’s good to hear of such a great score!”
