MIKE FAGAN ROLLS THROUGH EBONITE LAHTI OPEN

Track bowling pro player Mike Fagan took the title at the Ebonite-sponsored Lahti Open held Oct. 9-17 in Finland.

Despite qualifying fourth for the finals with an average of 215, armed with Track’s 715T and 607A Special Edition, Fagan easily cut through the competition during the stepladder finals.

He averaged around 250 during the final matches, easily defeating his opponents by posting big numbers in all three matches to claim the title and the 10.000 Euro (nearly $14,000 US).

In the first match, Fagan defeated Finland’s No. 3 seeded Juhani Tonteri, 267-190. In game two, Fagan easily defeated the No. 2 seeded Dominic Barrett, the reigning EBT leader, 235-152.

In the title match, Fagan bowled a 247 for a comfortable win against the No. 1 seeded Mai Ginge Jenson of Denmark, who rolled a 207, which included an eight pin handicap.

The Ebonite Lahti Open was the 16th stop of the 2010 European Bowling Tour and the last silver event of the season.

The European Bowling Tour will conclude its 11th season with the Ebonite Roma International, an EBT satellite tournament at Brunswick Bowling Rome in Rome, Italy and the EBT Platinum Qatar Bowling Open Dec. 11-19, at Qatar Bowling Center in Doha, Qatar.

“We couldn’t be prouder of Mike or any of the guys representing the brands of Ebonite International, Inc.,” said Vice President of International Mike Quitter. “He represented us well, and fought hard to come from behind for the win.”
